YASMIN BARNES, ACE Student

Yasmin Barnes is a 10-year-old who is in fifth grade. She likes biology, geology, and PE. She has a pet dog named Molly and sings, plays the piano, and guitar. She is very grateful to be presenting at ACE Innovation as a student speaker.


CAROLINE COX, ACE Student

Caroline Cox is a 9 year old who is in 4th grade. This is her 4th year at ACE Academy and her favorite things are Biology, Animals, Drawing, Anime, and the class P.E. She draws a lot and watches anime, and also has a dog named Molly. She loves listening to music and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite color is blue. People call her Caz, along with saying she's good with animals. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She's excited for summer to come and happy to attend the ACE Innovation event as a student speaker.

Cyber Security – How entrepreneurial companies are helping to keep families and business safe on the internet.

In the world today, we the Internet is a vital set of services, arguably as important as electricity. We have access to knowledge and tools and people from around the world that was unimaginable just a few year ago. But the Internet has a dark side – individuals and organizations that want to take advantage of our always on always connect world. Cyber Security is a growing area of innovation to help protect ourselves, our families and our organizations in the digitally connected world. In this session, Mike and Eric will share information that students and parent need to know about Internet today as well as suggestions for keeping your personal information safe in our connect world. They will also share how this cyber threats give rise to opportunities for creativity and impact for innovators with the entrepreneurial spirit.




MARC OSTRYNIEC, Vice President, CSID

To this day, Marc Ostryniec has maintained a one-line objective at the top of his resume: “to bridge the gap between technology and humanity.” Marc is an engineer by trade and learned that great people bring great products to life. His career spans engineering with Intel and GE, product and presales with Trilogy, sales leadership with TATA, and now heading sales and business development for CSID here in Austin. Marc is an avid cyclist, father of two, and has an active interest in alternative fuel vehicles.

MIKE WYATT, Director, Cyber Risk Services
AERS Advisory Deloitte & Touche, LLP

Mike Wyatt serves as a Director in Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services practice where he is responsible for state public sector clients risk services and has led statewide security assessments and security program development initiatives states including Utah and South Carolina.

He also serves as the Lead Entity Partner (LEP) for the states of Colorado and Georgia, the cyber risk services lead for Texas, and Virginia and is the Lead Client Service Partner (LCSP) for the State of South Carolina. Mike has a broad background of over 25 years’ experience specializing in cyber security and privacy strategy definition and security solution systems architecture, design, integration and implementation focusing primarily on identity and access management. Mike speaks nationally on topics of cyber security and identity management and is a Fellow with the University of Texas Center for Identity as well as being active with the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) and the security and privacy committee of the National Governors Association. In addition, he serves on the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Statewide Information Security Advisory Committee – Policy subcommittee; the Secure Colorado Advisory Board; and chairs the St. Edward’s University Munday School of Business Advisory Board.

Prior to joining Deloitte in 2007, Mike served as the global identity management professional services leader Sun Microsystems Inc. and Waveset Technologies Inc., as well as global product management leadership positions with IBM / Tivoli, Inc.

Mike has a Master’s of Business Administration in Information Systems from St. Edward’s University and Bachelors of Business Administration in Business Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, Mike holds Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) and Sate of Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) certifications.
